Paul received a Championship Plaque, a $50 gift certificate from Wargames, Inc. (provided by NASAMW), a $20 gift certificate from Time Portal Hobbies, and he was awarded the Siege's "Order of the Star." Lastly, he is now a qualifier for the National Invitational Championship Tournament, to be held at Historicon in July 2007.

Bryant received the "1st Runner Plaque, and a $15 gift certificate from Time Portal Hobbies.

All told, over $250 in prizes were given away at this event, including 2 DBA army packs. Every participant was allowed to take at least 2 packs of figures from the prize pool. Not bad for a $5 entry fee.

There was a bit of a "hiccup" in determining the actual winner when one of the players' sheets came up missing and another was incorrectly scored (but not by Marty!). The mistake was quickly cleared up and there was nothing but good humor all around.

Webmaster's note: This was the first tournament I have ever played in. Although I had played DBA 1.1 a few times 7 years ago, I had never played DBA 2.2. While tournaments often have a reputation of being intimidating, this wasn't the case with this DBA tourney. All players were friendly, easy-going, and quite helpful; strategy was even willingly offered to the younger players. If you ever want to get into ancient miniatures and/or try a tournament, I whole-heartedly recommend DBA and a tourney run by Marty.

Thanks to both Marty and Rudy!!!
