Friday 7pm

Giant Battle DBA (GBDBA) event: The Battle of Maranga (363 AD).

Hosted by Paul Harrison. This is a demonstration game of the battle between the Late Imperial Romans (Eastern) under Emperor Julian the Apostate against the Sassanid Persians. The battle will be recreated using Paul's beautiful 25mm figures. There is room for up to 8 players. No experience necessary and children are welcome (if under 12, must be accompanied by an adult).

Saturday 9am

DBA Demo: A "learn the game" and practice session designed to introduce the game to new players, give old hands a chance to knock off the rust, and those needing loaner armies a chance to try some out.

Saturday 2pm

Matched Pairs Tournament

Bring a pair (15mm scale) of well-matched DBA armies who were historical enemies. Choose wisely as your opponent gets to pick which army of the two they wish to use against you! Four rounds total against four different opponents, two with your pair of armies, two using anothers. The default is a pair of standard 15mm armies; players may, however, bring 6mm or 10mm figures on 15mm scale bases as long as both armies use the same size figures. If you don't have matched armies, there will likely be a few sets available.

This event will be a qualifier for the North American Society of Ancient & Medieval Wargamers (NASMW) National Invitational Championship Tournament held at Historicon 07. Membership is not required to play but only members can qualify for the NICT and any additional prizes provided by NASAMW! NASAWM Treasurer Derek Downs will be onsite offering a reduced membership fee!

The NASAMW DBA scoring system will be used.

A $5 tourney fee will be charged to cover prizes and trophies. My goal is to see EVERYONE goes home with at least half of that back!

Sponsored by Time Portal Hobbies!
Thank you Rudy!

Saturday 7pm

Open Gaming (Someone else run something I CAN PLAY!)

Sunday 9am

War of the Roses Campaign Game

This campaign will be played in three successive multiplayer battles! The first battle is Towton. The results of this battle determine the nature of the next one: Barnet. The third battle is Bosworth. The rough outline of the battles will be the same as historically happened, but the kings who rule, the types of troops involved, and the factions will be different depending on who won the last battle. Winner is determined by a prestige point system.

There is room for 6 players. No experience necessary and children are welcome (if under 12, must be accompanied by an adult).
