Event Listing
The Convention Staff are now taking event submissions. Download a Player Registration Form and submit your event along with your pre-registration fees. The registration form lists all of the information we need to properly list your event. You can also email your event to Mike (or just click on "Webmaster" on the left-hand side of the browser) or Norm. When providing a description of your event, please keep it short (no more than a good-sized paragraph) but be as colorful and descriptive as possible. Also, when hosting an event at a convention, keep in mind that it should be able to be played to conclusion within your gaming period. At the Siege, we have 6 gaming sessions: Fri PM (2-6 PM); Fri Nite (7-11 PM); Sat AM (9AM-1PM); Sat PM (2-6 PM); Sat Nite (7-11 PM); and Sun (9AM- 2PM). That means each session (except for Sunday's) has 4 hours of gaming time plus 30 minutes of set-up/take-down on either side. If you need to host your event across 2 or more gaming sessions, that can be worked out. Additionally, consideration is given to allow Event Hosts to leave their events set-up to run multiple games. Event submissions will not be accepted after January 8, 2010; any remaining tables will be for open gaming.
The following documents are the events that are presently scheduled. This document will typically be updated every Wednesday night. Please submit your events ASAP space fills up quickly (one thing that NEVER happens at the Siege is a lack of gaming events!). Events submitted after January 8, 2010, will not be in the printed Convention Guide.
The following is the final convention guide for Siege XIX. This is not exactly how it will look but all of the
information is here. The printed version will look a great deal better. This is my first year doing the guide
so please be patient. I will get better at this.
Below is the Layout for this year. At SOA 19, we will have the ballroom and the Richmod 1 & 2 Rooms. When we have
reached critical mass for dealers and events, new Layouts will be published.
No, it doesn't cost anything more to host an event (e.g., table rental). Event hosts must pay the Convention Fee like attendees. While we hope to change this in the future, presently the convention is not large enough to allow Event Hosts in for free or at a reduced rate.
Yes, you may pre-register for up to three (3) events prior to the start of the Siege as long as you mail in your pre-registration form (and send the registration fee). Simply email the Webmaster with your name and the events you wish to sign-up for. There will be an Event Registration Binder at the Registration Desk at the Siege to sign up for events; pre-registrants will already be annotated.
NOOO! The Siege is open to ALL (well, almost all) types of gaming. We welcome Historical-, Fantasy-, Sci-Fi miniature games; family-, traditional war-, fantasy-, sci-fi board games; role-playing games; card games, chess, scrabble, you-name-it and we will allow it. The only types of games we won't allow are Live Action Roleplaying Games (LARPs) and any game that is adult-themed or oriented (you know what I'm talking about here, and if you don't, email the webmaster).
